E.g;

? Prospect: Hi, Mr Victor, I’ve heard about your digital skill trainings and bootcamps and people say much good about it.

I’ll love to know more and if you accept speaking engagements to talk about tech and Digital skills at events and conferences.

? Regular Response: Thanks! Yes, I accept speaking engagements. I’ll be looking forward to it.

? Regular reaction from prospect: Ok Sir, I’ll get back to you.

(In the history of getting back to you, nobody ever gets back after they say they’ll get back. Wayo people ?).

Now see another scenario.

? Prospect: Hi, Mr Awesome, I’ve heard about your digital skill trainings and bootcamps and people say much good about it.

I’ll love to know more and if you accept speaking engagements to talk about tech and Digital skills at events and conferences.

? Response:

Hi, thank you for reaching out and I’m super glad you’ve heard great stuff about what we do.

You know digital skills have largely become the future of work, given the dominance of technology which requires skilled individuals to handle. We’ve helped 5000 people already and we are “doing all we can to make it available to everyone.

No matter their experience level and location.
We simplify these things to the barest minimum” (sell yourself).

Well, yes, I do accept invitations to speak at events, specifically youth clustered events. (Niche down).

And.. What kind of event are you looking at? ((Prompt & engage them with a question))

? Prospect: โ˜บ๏ธ A university event.

?Response: Ok great, it’s something we can do. We’ve done 3 this year already and trained 150 students directly from those 3. (sell yourself again with social proof)

It seems you want to touch some young lives. When do you need my services? ((Prompt them into the picture))

?Prospect: โ€ฆโ€ฆ 1st week of November (etc).

Response: That’s ok, what hall capacity are you looking at and what is my speaking duration.

(Paint a picture of the outcome for them. Mentally fix your product or service in their hands already)

Always respond with an open question until the convo has obviously naturally come to an end.

Don’t over do it.!!!

Mr Awesome
